Here is something new to The Rock Shed! A pretty and very unique skull carved from Labradorite. This detailed carving measures 3 7/8″ long x 2 1/2″ wide x 3″ tall. This beautiful nicely polished Skull has a fabulous color mix with a highly iridescent “Blue-Gold” shine that changes colors as the light hits it from different angles adding to its wonderful character and personality. Very nice!

Labradorite is a Feldspar mineral that occurs in large Crystal masses in Anorthosite and shows an iridescence or “play of colors.” Gemstone varieties of Labradorite exhibiting a high degree of iridescence are Spectrolite, Moonstone and Sunstone. High quality samples with good iridescent qualities are desired for jewelry.
