Description
Chrysocolla is of secondary origin and forms in the oxidation zones of copper ore. Some associated minerals are Quartz, Limonite, Azurite, and Malachite and Chrysocolla is often confused with Turquoise as they are similar in color. It gets its name from Greek chrysos “gold” and kolla “glue”. It is known among Native American cultures as a healing stone and said to promote calm and level headedness.
