Selenite, also known as Satin Spar, Desert Rose and Gypsum Flower, are the four Crystalline varieties of Gypsum. It is a very soft material composed of Calcium Sulfate. Selenite is often transparent and colorless. If color is present, it is often due to impurities or presence of other minerals.
