Here is an interesting and amazing find!! A very unique Carnelian Heart with lots of character unique to this material. This beautiful Heart measures 3″ wide x 2 5/8″ tall x 1 3/8″ thick. This very cool heart with darker colored Red and dark Orange accents contrasted by White and has an excellent design on each side of it. Close inspection shows some healed fractures, common for Carnelian. Very nice!

Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of Chalcedony but also may come in the colors of orange and pink. It is quite common and usually found in translucent pebble form. It is found in several areas of Europe, Iceland and Madagascar.
