Here is something different from the Rock Shed’s fossil department.  This is a very well preserved, and very rare above average quality Desmostylus hesperus Hippopotamus like animal Fossil Teeth specimen from Shark Tooth Hill, California. It’s from the Miocene period-10-million-year-old.  It measures 2 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ x 1 3/4″ and has not been polished. This is a very impressive collector quality specimen from an old collection and no longer available. Very nice!
