FO102: Starfish. – Locality: Kataoua Formation Morocco   Selection: Rough specimen.

Appearance: This is a nice quality fossil Starfish from the Ordovician or some 450 million years ago.  The species of the starfish is Ophiura, otherwise known as Brittle Star. As with most fossils some repair is required after excavation and this one is no exception. It has been expertly restored to its original state.

Approximate measurements: LxWxH – 5 3/8″ x 3/4″ x 3 3/4″.

Availability: single specimen, exclusive.

The matrix measures 8 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ x 3/4″ thick and the Starfish measure approximately 4 1/2″ and 5″. An outstanding addition to any collection!
