Crushed smaller Blue Tiger Eye also known as Hawk’s Eye from South Africa. These specimens measure approximately 1/2″ up to 2″ and vary between chips and chunkier pieces. Although most of this material has a rich blue color some pieces have variegation between gold and blue with lots of shiny chatoyance, or cat-eye effect. For best results use an extra pre polish step of 1000 Aluminum Oxide.

Tiger-Eye is a gemstone that is usually gold or blue in color with a silky luster. This gemstone has an optical reflectance that arises from the fibrous structure of the material. The physical and optical properties are identical or very near to those of a single Quartz Crystal.
