K2 Granite is also known as K2 Jasper and Raindrop Azurite. It’s from the Skardu area of Northern Pakistan. K2 Granite is named after a mountain in the Karakoram Range near the boarder between Pakistan and China. K2, also known as Mount Godwin Austen, is the second highest mountain in the world. It is a bright white Granite that contains sharp contrasting orbs of bright blue Azurite that looks like drops or ink splashes.
Granite is a common and widely occurring type of intrusive igneous rock. Granites are usually medium to coarse grained, occasionally with some individual Crystals. It can be pink to dark gray or even black depending on the chemistry and mineralogy. It is a hard and tough substance is used mostly in construction and landscaping.
